_Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ!

Sin is evil, so why do you let it in you?
You read the Bible but you still let your sins through?

Perverted confessions of letting sin in and around your conscience.

Unfaithful worship going back to and eating mud pie,

like filthy pigs, or dogs returning to their vomit,
we are new in Christ so why do you act like it?!

We have been resurrected in Him, with Christ who conquered every bit of sin and death!
He lived righteously so that you and me would have the victory,
and paid fully,
satisfied truly,
and paid all of sin’s debts!

Justified by the righteousness of Christ, tempted in every way,
by the devil, and He took all our sins away!

This is the work of the Cross,
what Christ did for us who deserve nothing but eternal loss!

Our sin put in Him and His righteousness in us,
and yet we go out in the world as if it never really was?

Why still sin? How could we live in what Christ died for, what He exchanged for His glory

in Heaven, when He stepped down to earth,
to take upon our nature and be born in a virgin birth?!

And yet to live to die? This is no lie
the King of kings came to earth and was crucified!

O what grace is this, unexplainable goodness!
In a loss for words why to a wretch like me altogether worthless?!

O praise to the King, to the Lord of Heaven!
For grace to take me in and take away wrath’s burden!

Since I’ve been taking tries on hymnody, I tried a bit of lyrical theology.
Kinda rough, but I hope it would still edify others.

A reflection on the doctrines of the Justification and Substitutionary Atonement in the Lord Christ Jesus. (Thanks to Aashik Rao, an expression of truths reflected from Romans Chapter 6 and similar passages that speak on the same issues.)
