_Cracked Pots Heralding So Great a Message

Dear heavenly, gracious Father,

How great and awesome is Your Name. How impossible a task it is to ever sufficiently recount the majesty of your grace, the vastness of your glory. Yet you have given such a task to your creation, to testify of Your greatness and the beauty of Your holiness. I thank You dear Lord that You have included such creatures like me in this privilege of witnessing to Your glory. You sought not to let the sparrows of the air herald Your gospel, but You would be just in doing so, nay, they deserve the privilege better than sinners like me, for they have always obeyed you since the moment they first came into this world and they were always dear to You as You are to them.

But still, that You may make known the riches of Your mercy and grace in cracked clay pots like I am You were pleased to count me worthy to preach so great a message.

Thank You.

And I have my confidence and my hope in You, my God, my sovereign King, for Your word is as a fire that consumeth the most wicked of men, and melts the hardest of hearts. May You be pleased to grant repentance and faith to those You have sent your servant toward, if not may You glorified in the judgment of their souls.

I ascribe all glory to Thyself, Thy Son and Thy Spirit. For apart from Your triune working, my God, I would be lost and gone in the wind.
